Mercedes-Benz Finds More Creative Outlets for Advertising

It's hard not to love the creative efforts of the people at our favorite German luxury automaker. Mercedes-Benz proves time and time again that getting your name out there can make all the difference in crafting a unique image, and it's something that we here at Wilson Mercedes-Benz love!

Previously, the fashion world has been subject to the attention of the German automaker's marketing eye, sponsoring suite of Mercedes-Benz fashion weeks. That's right, the same company that can pull off stilettos just as well as legendary AMG wheels knows no bounds when it comes to entering into different markets. It's that incredible attitude that has just landed Mercedes-Benz ten years of naming rights over the Louisiana Superdome.

This new deal with the New Orleans Saints will, once again, allow Mercedes-Benz to have its name highlighted in an unconventional way, achieving maximum exposure and appeal to a wide new demographic. Of course, it goes without saying that the Saints are also getting a good deal too, as this new naming right didn't come cheap.

Reportedly, the funding that the team receives from Mercedes-Benz as a part of this deal will come in lieu of assistance provided by the state. While no specific number has been given for what Mercedes-Benz paid for this prestigious naming right, we do know that the Saints received over $186,000,000.00 worth of aid, in a lease that expired in 2009... After adding in inflation, we can only speculate that the German automaker paid a good amount.

Speaking  on their latest team member, Tom Benson, Owner, New Orleans Saints said, "The investment being made by a premier international brand who believes in 'the best or nothing', is a tremendous compliment to all of those who worked so hard to make the stadium what it is today."1 Equally excited over the collaboration, Stephen Cannon, VP, Marketing, Mercedes-Benz referred to the Superdome as an , "icon for rebirth."2

There is quite a bit of football in the near future for Mercedes-Benz drivers, and quite a bit of exposure for the ad execs who pulled this deal off. The only question left is when you'll see the new Mercedes-Benz  Superdome? If you don't live close by, perhaps when you're watching the next Saints home game? Or, perhaps, during the 2013 Super Bowl?!
